» Feature Writer Elizabeth Gregory - Is Harry Potter a positive influence on reading habits?

Some people credit Harry Potter with introducing a whole generation of children to the delights of reading, including a number who would not otherwise have ever picked up a book. But is it that simple? As an A-level teacher I am now faced with a number of 16-18 year olds who have ONLY ever read Harry Potter, and find it a huge struggle to cope with more adult fiction.

What do you think?
